  • Reggae Excursion Guest Mixtape #42: Roots Vibration

Reggae Excursion Guest Mixtape #42 by Roots Vibration. Roots Vibration started out as a selectors duo in Leuven, organising sessions with Belgian soundsystems like Youth & Truth, Ionyouth, High’r Ites, Unification, Blackbird Sound, Tempest Sound and many others. With a big heart for 70s, 80s, 90s roots, legendary dub masters and an eye towards the future of reggae, Roots Vibration comes with a diverse selection that spans through the whole spectrum of the genre, while keeping the original rasta message strong. In 2017 the Roots Vibration label was set up. Releases include a broad selection of 70s, 80s and 90s roots reggae, dug up from obscurity, professionally remastered and pressed on quality black vinyl. Artists featured on the label include Earl Sixteen, Vivian Jones, Winston Jarrett, Winston McAnuff, Ras Midas, etc... Besides roots there’s a place for new reggae & dub musicians as well, such as Jahmbassador, Jacin and Murray Man. More releases to come in 2022, so stay tuned!
